LEON KROLL (American, 1884-1975) SUN BATHING BEAUTY. Fine oil on canvas beach scene shows a nude young woman seated on sand dune peering out at a calm ocean. She wears a white headband over her blond hair and she wears white china flats on her feet. The scene is against a blue and white cloud sky with tinges of pink. Possibly a Cape Ann beach scene. Signed lower right “L. Kroll”. Housed in a fine and possibly original gilt gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 23-1/2” x 31-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good with some inpainting, mostly on bottom 3” and one spot in sky. 9-70096 (6,000-9,000)
