CONVERTED WHITNEY NAVY REVOLVER. SN 24283. Cal. 38RF. 7-¾” oct. bbl. The conversion number “9” appears on the frame, bbl, and cylinder. Conversion appears to be the standard Remington type but the ratchet ring on the back of the cylinder has a dbl ring with a lower edge on the inside. There is an anchor on the top of the bbl and the periphery of the cylinder. In addition to the anchors there is a heavy “US” on top of the bbl. CONDITION: Appears to have a nickel finish with about 2/3 remaining. Grips have been cleaned and no cartouche remains. Mechanically fine. 4-56932 FS8 (1,500-2,500)
