F. KROEBER SWISS REGULATOR #28. New York, last quarter of the 19th Century. The monumental carved oak case with baluster gallery and acorn finials above a hooded concave frieze. The door with glass panel housing an eight-day pinwheel escapement regulator movement with porcelain dial. Movement inside the original brass casing to keep it clean. Clock retains grid iron pendulum with alternating steel & brass rods with large 13″ dia. brass bob. Pendulum, weight, key & door key present. SIZE: Clock dial: 13-3/4″ dia. 90-1/2″ h x 23″ w x 17″ overall d. CONDITION: Case has been rubbed down to natural finish and oiled, movement is cleaned and looks like it would run, pendulum fits movement. A very nice attractive clock. 9-21104 (7,000-9,000)
