LOUIS MCCLELLAN POTTER (American, 1873-1912) “A HUNTER AND HIS DOGS”. This fabulous bronze has a 16″ h Eskimo in fur coat with a large collar and a fur hat with earmuffs. He holds a rifle in his right hand and is wearing mitts. Three Husky type dogs are seen directly in front and one beside. A naturalistic base is signed on the side “Louis Potter 1905”. Also signed on top corner “Copyright 1905 by Gorham Mfg Co.”. A nice period bronze with exceptional subject matter. SIZE: 18″ x 17″ x 10″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-95793 (10,000-15,000)
