BROCKWAY PERCUSSION TARGET RIFLE. Cal. 42. 30-3/4” octagonal bbl, marked “N.S. BROCKWAY / BELLOWS FALLS / VT.” on the upper left flat of the bbl. Norman Brockway worked in Bellows Falls from 1861 to 1900. He was famous for his rifling. This one is unusual in that it is not equipped for a false muzzle. The folding tang sight is a replacement for the original long leaf type used almost exclusively by Brockway. The extra checkering on the counterplate is also unusual. CONDITION: Gray/brown patina overall with vise marks and dents on the bbl. Some chips missing from the stock. Action is fine. 4-52617 FS59 (800-1,200)
