BILLHARZ CARBINE.

BILLHARZ CARBINE. SN 229. Scarce Confederate carbine in fine condition. The SN 229 occurs at the back of the breech of bbl (no other parts of gun removed). Bbl is correctly and deeply marked “CSA” over “P”. This gun exhibits original pewter nose cap (earlier guns have brass nose caps). A contemporary repair to buttstock to left of bbl tine is noted but no missing wood, gun is all original and authentic. This gun shows little, but honest use including saddle wear. CONDITION: Gun has been cleaned overall, but does not effect its aesthetics. This would be a difficult gun to upgrade. 4-47869 JS27 (18,000-20,000)
