*H&R REPRODUCTION OFFICER’S MODEL TRAPDOOR SPRINGFIELD RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. SN 1317. Fine reproduction with 26″ rnd bbl, Beech’s style ivory bead front sight and ski jump ladder rear sight. Breechblock, lockplate, hammer & trigger guard are case colored and have patterns of light foliate arabesque engraving. It is mounted in a nicely figured 1-pc. American walnut stock with checkered forearm & straight grip with musket buttplate. Top of the wrist is mounted with a mid-range tang sight and it has an engraved pewter forend cap. Bottom of the bbl has a sgl iron guide, which contains a fine reproduction officer’s model-wiping rod. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Near new, probably unfired, retaining virtually all of its fine orig factory finish to both metal & wood. Stock has several small nicks & dings and a couple of light bruises on the bottom of the forestock with a series of fine spotting of the finish on the right side of the buttstock.
