VERY RARE MORSE CARTRIDGE BOXES ON THEIR ORIGINAL CANVAS BELT. The Morse cartridge belts were issued with two boxes, and very rarely is a complete set ever found and this one is an especially nice one and presents very well. Two leather hinged boxes mounted on a woven belt. Reference: “CONFEDERATE CARBINES & MUSKETOONS” by Dr. John Murphy. CONDITION: Belt is in very good condition with roller buckle attached, tongue of belt is fragile but complete. Both locking tabs are missing on one box. Flap of box has an old 8” separation on the top but flap is still in tact. The other box retains both finial tabs, has one thumbnail size piece missing on top, great old patina and finish.
