JENNINGS “TO-DAY” SLOT MACHINE WITH CONFECTIONERY VENDOR. A beautifully restored classic machine from the 1920s vintage depicting a Dutch boy and girl on the 4 column vendor front, complete with jackpot. A handsome paneled quartersawn oak case and polished and plated aluminum castings with gaily decorated highlights make this a most appealing machine. The Today vendor featured a cylindrical wheel behind the three reel strips that would indicate one’s winnings when the wheel stopped, hence three oranges would be 8, three bells would be 16, etc. Machine is intact with both original aluminum rear doors, however tin money box is missing. Machine has original fortune reel strips and original paper on odds cylinder, small award card on front is quality replacement. SIZE: 15″ w x 15″ d x 25″ t. CONDITION: Both odds indicator and jackpot appear to be disconnected and possibly missing some linkage. 1-8217 JL (1,500-2,500) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2008 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The prices noted here after the auction are considered unofficial and do not become official until after the 46th day. |
