SETH THOMAS#16 WALNUT WALL REGULATOR. Circa 1900. Large rectangular case with shell cresting, the canted corners with engaged columns, the cornice and bases with leaftip carvings and columns. The case pediment with an ogee molded pediment. The door opening to a dial with Roman Numeral chapter ring. The dial marked “Seth Thomas” and fitted with a sweep seconds hand, all within a nickel-plated, eight-day time only single silvered weight driven brass movement. The pendulum with nickel-plated damascene engraved bob. Pendulum, weight, winder & door key. SIZE: Overall 77″ l x 23″ w x 8-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: Dr. Charles Bradley, Lubbock, TX. CONDITION: Nicely refinished with a redone dial. Rod in need of repair at one end. 9-21046 (20,000-30,000)
