WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 228937B. Standard grade rifle with 24-1/4″ oct bbl, full magazine, altered front sight & a replacement rear sight without elevator. Wood is straight grain uncheckered American walnut with straight grip & crescent buttplate with trap that contains four cartridges. CONDITION: Fair to good. No orig finish remains with all the metal having been cleaned to bright in recent years. Receiver has some scattered fine pitting. Wood is sound with a dark hand rubbed patina and may have been cleaned a long time ago. Mechanics are fine, very worn dark bore. 4-55291 JR315 (750-1,500)
