RARE REMINGTON PERCUSSION CANE GUN WITH LARGE DOG HEAD. SN 262. 32 Cal. Marked “J.F.THOMAS / PATENT / JULY 9. 1858 / E. REMINGTON & SONS / ILION. N. Y. / 262” on the knurled iron tip. The German silver collar attaching the dog head to the shaft is engraved “DW Scott”. The mechanism is working but the breech screw is rusted solid. CONDITION: The gutta percha is fine with no cracks and slightly faded on the upper end. 4-58935 FS707 (6,000-7,000)
