LOT OF 5 GUNMAKERS’ BROADSIDES AND LETTERHEADS, MOST FROM CIVIL WAR ERA. 1) E. Whitney with engravings of percussion revolvers and muskets. “See the recommendation of Colonel Jefferson Davis, late Secretary of War.” was crossed out in ink, obviously dating this to the beginning of the Civil War. 2) Flyer for “NATIONAL RIFLE AND CARBINE”. No address or contact is given on this sheet. 3) Greene’s Carbine by Mass. Arms Co., taped on corners with foxing on the folds. 4) Starr Arms Co. letterhead, dated 1864, concerning cartridges for their carbines and addressed to Maj. T. T. S. Laidley.
