FRAMED COLT MEMORABILIA. The first is a Colt factory letter ordering a large number of castings in1882. The second is a printed list of contractors who were working for Colt in the factory. Included in the list are Cuno Helfricht who was contracting for the engraving and his brother Charles who was doing stocking and browning. Alexander Thuer was listed as “assembling”. James Remington was listed as printing presses and Josiah Howe was listed as reaming. The many other names listed were evidently those in charge of hiring workers for the factory as instructions for applying are at the bottom of the list. This list is interesting as it shows that the work at the factory was done on a contract basis. CONDITION: Fine with slight foxing. 4-60207 FS798 (750-1,750)
