WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38-55. SN 59264. Standard grade rifle with 26″ oct bbl, full magazine, half nickel front sight with screw & semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has very nicely figured, uncheckered, straight grain American walnut with straight grip & crescent buttplate. CONDITION: About very fine. Bbl & magazine tube retain 96-98% strong bright orig factory blue with a few scattered spots of light surface rust. Rear sight has light surface rust. Receiver retains about 75-80% thin orig blue on the left side, about 60% on the right side with the bottom & top a brown patina. Lever retains 40-50% orig case colors & the hammer about 85% colors. Wood is sound with a small gouge and a long scratch in the forearm & a couple of gouges in the buttstock and overall retains about 90% finish on the forearm & 85% on the buttstock.
