OSWALD “WISE OLD OWL” GERMAN NOVELTY REVOLVING EYE TIME PIECE. Circa 1930. The Black Forest style carved owl case with revolving eyes. The backplate with an impressed label reading “Patented USA Aug. 31, 1926 Made in Germany No Jewels”. The time is indicated by rotation and positions of the eyeballs, whereby the right eye points out the hours, the left eye points out the minutes. SIZE: 8″ h x 3-1/2″ w x 2-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Overall in nice original condition. 9-21127 (400-600)
