UNSIGNED (American, Mid 19th Century) ONE LESS FISH. Wonderful carved marble statue of a young child who is walking next to water holding a recently caught fish in his clothes. He looks down where one fish has fallen to the ground. Marble statue comes with a CDV of the Vermont Marble Works with craftsman outside the building and a sign “Marble Works”. Also a cabinet card of a portrait of a man identified as “Thomas J. Wraugham”. Card from C A Fuller, Photographer, Rutland, VT. Presumably this marble was executed by one of the craftsman at this Vermont Marble Works. SIZE: 28″ h. CONDITION: Very good. 9-96365 (4,000-5,000)
