WALTHAM “WILLARD” MODEL BANJO CLOCK. Circa 1930. Retailed by Smith Patterson & Co. and so marked on the painted dial. The mahogany case of typical form maintaining original Washington & Mt. Vernon eglomise painted tablets. Also with gilt decorated displayed eagle finial and presentation gold gilt pediment with suspended spherules. The brass eight day weight driven movement marked “Waltham”. Pendulum & weight present, with key. SIZE: 41″ l x 10-1/4″ w x 4″ d. PROVENANCE: Dr. Charles Bradley, Lubbock, TX. CONDITION: Case with restoration to gilding and pediment, dial repainted, original pendulum, replaced weight. Eagle finial original. Very good. 9-21054 (1,500-2,000)
