GEORGIA OFFICER’S SWORD BELT. With two piece interlocking buckle with Georgia State seal. Center piece is die struck. Reference: “CONFEDERATE BELT BUCKLES & PLATES” by Steve Mullinax. “PLATES & BUCKLES OF AMERICAN MILITARY” by Sidney Kerksis. “ACCOUTERMENT PLATES NORTH & SOUTH” by William Gavin. SIZE: Height of wreath 52mm. Height of keepers 50mm and 51mm. CONDITION: Buckle is perfect, with crisp fine detail. Patent leather belt generally very good but shows some insect damage. One patent sword hanger is still present. The belt is accompanied by letter of authenticity. 4-48652 JS33 (7,500-8,500)
