ENORMOUS COLLECTION OF BRITAINS. A breathtaking and extremely varied selection of the popular and desirable lead figures from one of the foremost makers. Appears to be well over 500 total pieces, these Britains have been very well cared for. Covering mostly agricultural and livestock they have been segregated into all the various subject matters including sheep, horses, cows, pigs, farm workers and implements, and wild animals. Also included are nine sets of jockeys and riders with their original boxes representing various stables. Also one boxed set from their Lilliput series of a farm with animals, workers, and landscaping. Also included is the 114th Catalog for metal & plastic toy models for Britains’ 1959 product line. CONDITION: Impossible to inspect every one, but the cross section that was examined is very good to near excellent. Boxes are solid, and include original inserts. Jockey boxes have been marked in magic marker with various numbers. Just an outstanding lot. AT 9-70386 (1,000-2,000)
