RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION MUSKET.

RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION MUSKET. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 83353. Standard musket with 30″ rnd bbl, full magazine, square base front sight/bayonet lug & a 900 yard ladder musket rear sight. It has a full-length forestock with three bands and straight grip stock with musket buttplate with trap and has factory sling swivels. Receiver ring has a pinwheel shaped proof mark & the stock has four characters believed to be Indonesian. CONDITION: Good to very good. No orig finish remains with the metal being a medium mottled gray/brown patina. Forearm is missing a sliver near the tip & the stock has a pinned wrist with usual nicks, dings & scratches and a few light bruises and has a fine hand rubbed patina. Both middle bbl band screws are broken. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore with scattered pitting. 4-56466 JR496 (5,000-7,000)
