*WINCHESTER MODEL 65 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 218 Bee. SN 1005222. Standard grade rifle with 24-1/4″ tapered rnd bbl, ramp front sight with hood, slot blank in the rear seat and a Stith side mount for a Weaver 330 scope with a Litschert Varmint Master objective. Bolt is cut for a peep sight. The wood is very nicely grained slab sawed American walnut, uncheckered, with semi-beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Fine, as noted. Bbl retains 88-90% strong orig blue, thinning toward the muzzle. Receiver retains about 75% orig blue, strong on the left side, thin on the right side and worn to silver on the bottom. Wood is sound with a chemical streak down the right side and otherwise retains most of an old refinish. Buttplate is pitted. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore with a few scattered spots of light rust. Optics are clear. Pierre Renaud Collection 4-55670 JR271 (750-1,250)
