*WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38 WCF (38-40). SN 993288. Standard grade rifle with 24-1/4″ rnd bbl, full magazine, brass bead front sight & semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has straight grain American walnut wood with straight stock & crescent buttplate. Entire rifle, including the wood, is covered with a very heavy coating of old dried oil or wax. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl & magazine tube retain about 98% strong orig blue. Receiver retains about 90% orig blue turning brown on the edges with a couple of flaked spots on the left side. Flaked areas are a light patina. Wood is sound with minor nicks & scratches and retains most of its orig factory finish. Crisp mechanics, very bright shiny bore.
