WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32 WCF. SN WRACO. Rare rifle returned to Winchester, probably with a damaged serial number. It is believed that, rather than assign another number, Winchester simply obliterated the remains of the existing serial number and stamped in “WRACO”. Rifle is a standard grade rifle with 24-1/4″ rnd bbl, full magazine, half-nickel front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has very nicely figured uncheckered American walnut wood with straight stock and crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains about 95% dull orig blue and the magazine tube 75-80% blue turning plum. Receiver retains about 95% strong orig blue with some slight thinning on the left side, edge wear and a few scattered spots of light rust. Lever retains about 50% case colors and the hammer about 80%. Wood is sound with a few light nicks & dings and a couple of bruises and retains most of its orig factory finish. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore. 4-56463 JR519 (1,500-2,500)
