ITHACA CHRONOMETER DOUBLE DIAL CALENDAR CLOCK. Last quarter of the 19th Century. Made for W. V. SHELTON & CO. and so marked on the lower dial. Glass door marked “CHRONOMETER” in gilt lettering. Upper dial with Roman Numeral chapter ring and time & strike apertures. The recessed lower dial with day, and date within an Arabic chapter ring. Eight day time with strike spring movement. Pendulum present, no key. SIZE: 33″ h x 16″ w x 7″ d. CONDITION: Glass has been replaced or restored, case has been refinished and has newly applied incised gilding and part of cresting restored.
