BUTTON DISPLAY CARD WITH RARE WASHINGTON INAUGURAL BUTTONS. Card including: 1) WI 4A, script GW “Long Live the President” in raised letters, 13 Linked States border, CIRCA 1789. Back loop has either been reattached or is new (slight bend to button). 2) WI 4CM, similar composition but a commemorative button struck for the Washington Inaugural Centennial in 1889. 3) Included on the card are ten other early 18th Century buttons, four with engraved designs, the others plain. SIZE: 1) 34mm. 2) 32mm. Remaining ten range from 18mm to 35mm. PROVENANCE: From an advanced central New Hampshire collector’s Estate. CONDITION: Generally good. 9-93713 (1,000-2,000)
