17-1/2″, (44 CM), SWIVEL NECK FRENCH FASHION DOLL. Lovely French poupee with closed slightly smiling mouth cobalt blue glass stationary eyes, pale blonde feathered eyebrows, and pierced-in ears on separate kid lined bisque shoulder plate. No markings found. She is on a white kid body, gusseted at the elbows, hips, and knees. Her costume consists of a two-piece walking suit with brass buttons down the front of the jacket, and made of all antique fabric consisting of pale green taffeta and ivory silk. The wig is a replaced blonde mohair over cork pate. The hat is antique straw with cloth flower decorations, and she sports an antique fur muff, as well as antique brown leather shoes which button on the sides. CONDITION: All bisque parts are free of damage, slight rust stains on right hand and left index finger probably replaced. 1-7338 RS (2,500-3,500)
