1890’S SIMON-HALBIG CHILD DOLL. Closed mouth socket head bisque doll incised “S7H 939″ with blue glass paperweight eyes, pierced ears, oil painted lashes and brows on a fully jointed German wood and composition body. The wig is a dark human hair wig, probably a later replacement. She has been elaborately dressed in a pale green taffeta pleated dress with fancy lace overlay and braided silk ribbon flower trim and wearing a well coordinated bonnet. SIZE: 16-1/2” (42cm). CONDITION: Minor color loss on both cheeks, body has had light overall repaint. 1-8426 RS (1,500-1,800)
