EATON UNDERHAMMER RIFLE. Cal. 41. SN 804. 21-3/4” octagonal bbl, marked “J. EATON CONCORD, N.H. / PATENT, / 1837* / 804” on top of the bbl. The German silver patchbox has the scratched block letter marking “M.L.H. / L.H. / ACK / S.P. / SAT”. A screwdriver is required to open the patchbox as the eccentric screw at the tip holds it in place. The ramrod is a replacement. CONDITION: Rust/brown patina overall. Stock has been repaired at the wrist, lightly sanded and refinished. Action is fine. 4-52490 FS11 (900-1,200)
