CAST IRON AND WOOD EARLY AUTOMOBILE. A horseless carriage simulating a vehicle from the turn of the century, with a large weight that would propel the automobile in a forward type motion. Finely detailed cast iron canopy and kickboard with a female driver atop a wooden chasse enameled in red and pinstriped in various colors. Of unknown manufacturer perhaps by Scheibel or Dayton Friction, this early horseless carriage is quite charming. SIZE: 6-1/4”. CONDITION: Very good. JL 1-6981 (600-800)
