SANDERSON UNDERHAMMER RIFLE. Cal. 38. 27-1/4” octagonal bbl, marked “M.S. SANDERSON” on top of the bbl. Sanderson worked in Proctorsville, Vt. after the Civil War. The extended tang sight has a screw adjustment for accurate shooting. The front sight blade has a large carved post protectors. The ramrod is a replacement and the hammer nose has been repaired. CONDITION: Gray/brown patina with light pitting overall. Stock is solid but the wild cat inlay on the left side has pulled away from the wood. Action is good. 4-52619 FS61 (500-800)
