5¢ BUCKLEY BONES DICE MACHINE. This example is manufactured by Buckley, similar in nature to the Bally Reliance this machine also lets the player feel as though he were at the Craps table! Almost identical, the main difference between the Buckley and the Bally machines is their castings. The Buckley superimposed a pair of dice at the coin entry as well as on the front casting. Both machines have a gold award feature and the Buckley model emblazoned the phrase “Bones” on the front casting, the slang term for dice. Upon depositing the coin the player can become an automatic winner by throwing a seven or an eleven or by making his point (displayed in left window), or worse yet, crapping out, thus ending his turn. A most popular machine of its day and highly sought after by collectors today as well. This example has been cosmetically restored and is in excellent working condition. SIZE: 16″ w x 11″ d x 13″ t. CONDITION: Overall condition is excellent plus. 1-8211 JL (12,500-15,500) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Spring 2008 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
