GREAT EPHEMERAL LOT FOR ROBERT E. LEE. This is a great assemblage of the famous Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Includes an autographed CDV of Lee in his generals uniform boldly signed “R. E. Lee”. Has a Vannerson & Jones, Richmond, VA back marked photograph. Accompanying the CDV is large photograph of Edward Valentine’s recumbent statue of Robert E. Lee. Photograph is signed by photographer Bagby dated 1927. Also included is a trade card advertising the Valentine photograph. The trade card is addressed on the reverse to Gen. Simon Bolivar Buckner, also a very famous Confederate general. All three items are archivally and wonderfully displayed, a great collage. SIZE: Overall size of frame is 20” high and 15” wide. CONDIITON: Generally very good. CDV very nice and toned, excellent presentation. 4-48656 JS39 (6,500-7,500)
