WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE VASE. Wonderful Fairyland Lustre Daventry vase is in the Willow pattern with beautifully decorated violet tree trunks and flower spikes, green leaves and lanterns of red and yellow with orange lustre which is surrounded by a view of the sky and water of blue lustre over a rich blue-green shade. The houses are black with torches of crimson with the conventional “Candle Lighthouse” on the bridge is reflected in the orange ripples of the water. A group of violet gnomes shelter under black toadstool umbrellas at the base. The chestnut leaflets are not hatched in gold print as they are in both Flame and Moonlight Fairyland. Marked on the underside with Portland vase, “Z5228”, “Wedgwood”, “Made in England”. SIZE: 10-1/4″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-65895 (7,000-10,000)
