JOHNSON MODEL 1831 FLINTLOCK MUSKET W/BAYONET. NSN. Cal. .69. 42” rnd bbl. Dated 1832 on lock and bbl. The “JOHNSON” mark is in a curved half circle below an eagle on the lockplate & has no initials. The “LS” cartouche on the left side of the stock is clear. The bayonet is incorrect and made for a slightly larger bbl. CONDITION: Metal surfaces have been cleaned to bright with scattered light pitting remaining. Stock has normal handling marks with a few dents & gouges on the butt.
