EARLY GALLE ENAMELED EWER. Exceptional early Galle ewer has heavily enameled red and yellow flowers with green leaves and stems against an amber ribbed background. The center of each flower is made up of an applied cabochon with enamel decoration. The ewer is fitted with an applied snake-like handle which entwines around the front and side of the ewer. The matching stopper has enameled flower with cabochon center. Signed on the bottom in black enamel “Cristallerie Emile Galle et Nancy modele et secor de posse”. SIZE: 12-1/2″ h. overall. CONDITION: Very good to excellent, with small imperfection on lip from the making. 5-67536 (3,000-4,000)
