CLOWN WITH JUMPING DOG BELL TOY. Manufactured by The Gong Bell Co. When Bob and Jackie started collecting bell toys in the early 1980s, they met Max Berry, a fellow collector. They were able to purchase this toy and the SARATOGA CHIMES BELL TOY as well. An impressive toy not only in regards to the action, but the size. When pulled along the floor, the poodle leaps through the cloth hoop swinging around and striking the bell. This is one of the few bell toys ever manufactured with a gear-type mechanism to accentuate the movement of the toy. Polychromed in bright colors. SIZE: 12 1/2”. CONDITION: Significant restoration to toy. JL 1-4069 (1,500-2,000)
