RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1890 SINGLE-W CARTRIDGE BOARD. Mounted in its orig oak frame, 50-3/4″ x 37-1/2″. Board contains 144 cartridges & 5 each brass & paper shot shells plus 10 bullets & 6 cap & primer boxes, all mounted on orig heavy cardboard backing. It has beautiful & well known vignettes of two north woods hunters & a cowboy with his dead horse on top with two hanging ducks in center. It has Winchester Repeating Arms Co. advertising at top with address on bottom & advertisement for their ammunition on both sides. Mounted in a gold gesso inner frame attached to orig oak outer frame. It has orig backing paper with factory label, no serial number was observed. It appears that two or three of orig cartridges have been reattached. The 70-150 cartridge is absolutely orig & has not been removed or reattached. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Moderately soiled and dark with some minor nicks in top edge, not affecting image & one small nick in left hand top vignette, just above hunter in red coat. Frame is sound with a few very minor repairable chips in plaster finish. This board would be greatly improved with some minor conservation efforts & would be well worth the investment. All cartridges & attached items are original. The 4-gage shotshell has a small break. 4-56589 JR604 (22,500-32,500)
