ENFIELD SNIDER CONVERSION RIFLE MUSKET.

ENFIELD SNIDER CONVERSION RIFLE MUSKET. Cal. 57 Snider. 1862 dated musket with usual markings, Snider patent breech modification, 30-1/2” bbl, two bands with iron nose cap and Springfield style wiping rod. Bayonet lug has been removed from side of bbl. Mounted in a 1-pc walnut stock with a cartouche on right side of butt. NSN. CONDITION: Good to very good. No original finish remains on the metal, being a medium gray/brown patina with fine pitting overall. Wood is sound and retains 75-80% original finish. Strong bright bore with light pitting. Firing pin is a replacement. 4-48432 (500-700)
