EARLY REMINGTON ROLLING BLOCK CARBINE. NSN. 50 Spencer Cal. 22” rnd bbl. Standard 2-line early marking on the upper tang. The military style buttplate is marked “US / K” on the upper tang. There are individual inspector marks on the bbl and stock. The bbl band is slightly oversized. The rear sight is a folding type with three positions. The breechblock is dished out at the base to accommodate the large base of the Spencer cartridge. CONDITION: Gray/brown patina overall with scattered pitting. Stock has numerous dents, mostly on the left side with a crack at the buttplate. Bore is bright with spots of moderate pitting. Action is fine. (Marcot Collection). 4-60177 FS657 (1,000-2,000)
