SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1873 TRAPDOOR RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. Standard rifle with 32-1/2” bbl, ski-jump rear sight, 1-pc walnut stock with the outline of a cartouche on the left side. SN 236771. CONDITION: Fair to good. Blue-brown patina overall, nicked and scratched wood with some gouges on buttstock and a crack behind lockplate. Rear sight is missing slide and rammer is missing.
