FRENCH GOLD LOCKET. Exceptional French 18k yellow gold locket has concave center with applied star, circle and loops. The star, circle and loops are set with rose cut diamonds. The concave center is framed by an 8-point star set with rose cut diamonds and rubies alternating at each point. The heavy jump ring is also set with two diamonds and a ruby. The back of the locket is engraved “From Henry to Nellie” under which is a bird sitting atop a cross with Latin engraving below. Below that is dated “1880”. SIZE: 2-1/4” x 1-1/4”. CONDITION: Some wear to engraving on back, otherwise very good. 5-71346 (1,200-1,500)
