ANTON GERLACH (American, 19th Century ) “MOONLIGHT EXCURSION, LANDSCAPE ON THE SCHUYLHILL”. Oil on canvas evening scene shows several boats on a wide river, one being filled with passengers. The river is lined with trees and there are buildings on the far bank. A full moon is seen through break in clouds. Signed lower left. Also labeled and signed on back with Philadelphia, PA.
