DON STONE (American, 1929-) “WOOD PILE”. Watercolor and acrylic on paper winter scene shows a tall stacked wood pile alongside a large tree with barns and snow covered ground. Light snow is falling in a mid-day scene. Signed lower right “Don Stone”. Housed in a partial gilt molded wood frame with wide linen matte and inner white matte. Adelson Galleries, Inc. Boston label on reverse. PROVENANCE: Adelson Galleries, 1971 (original receipt accompanies lot). This work was part of a one man exhibition at the Fitchburg Art Museum, No. 3 in the Large Gallery (Catalog accompanies lot). SIGHT SIZE: 10” x 14”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-70753 (800-1,200)
