Large French Poupee incised “6” in the back of the head, swivel neck on kid-lined separate shoulder plate, with spectacular blue threaded paperweight eyes, closed mouth with pale highlighted lips, on all kid body gusseted at elbows, hips, and knees. Elaborately costumed in a two-piece pale green and rose silk walking dress, with brocade panels down the front of the jacket, antique brown leather fashion boots, and wearing a newer fine quality light brown mohair wig, and custom made bonnet with braid trim and plumes. CONDITION: Very good condition, slight color loss to tip of nose, and minor rust damage to fingers which have been repainted. Substantial melting of the silk of the dress. 1-7337 RS (1,500-2,500)
