*SMITH & WESSON MODEL 58 DA REVOLVER. Cal. 41 Mag. SN S259246. Blued finish, 4” bbl, 3-screw frame, red ramp front sight & adjustable rear sight, target trigger & hammer, checkered medallion magnum grips. This appears to be a mis-marked Model 57, as it has all the attributes of that model rather than the Model 58. Accompanied by a Smith & Wesson letter identifying this revolver and indicating it was shipped on Dec. 3, 1965 to F. Morton Pitt & Co., San Gabriel, CA. The letter goes on to state that there is no explanation for the target sights as the invoice clearly lists it as a Model 58. Also accompanied by a Smith & Wesson mahogany box with tools. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Retains 94-96% original factory finish, thin on the bbl with muzzle & edge wear and the cylinder has turned plum colored. Grips appear to be recent replacements and retain most of their original finish. Fine mechanics, bright shiny bore, good relined box. 4-51886 JR540 (250-500)
