PEDRO AMERSALA (First half of the 20th Century) COUNTRY DANCING. Interesting oil on canvas southern scene shows six children, two with string instruments playing under a tree to a boy and a girl who are dancing together while a boy and a girl hold long sticks that she dances between. A waterway is seen with a man next to a boat and a shack lean to us under a large tree. Signed lower right. Housed in a gilt molded wood frame with linen and gold liner. SIZE: 21” x 27-1/4”. CONDITION: Quarter size hole in the tree, craquelure. Otherwise good. 9-70870 (5,000-7,000)
