FRAMED CARVED HARD STONE COLLAGE ON SILK. 18th century, China. In two parts, each carved and engraved work on painted silk. The outer panel depicting figures in a garden enclosing the second, hidden, panel depicting a couple in amorous pursuits in front of a pavilion. Mounted within a modern frame. SIZE: Each panel: 9″ x 6-1/2″ sight. Overall: 14-1/2″ x 12-1/2″. CONDITION: With losses to paint and with deterioration and weakness to silk ground. Generally good. 7-73176 (400-600)
