EARLY AMERICAN PAINT DECORATED CHILD’S LADDERBACK DOLL’S CHAIR. First quarter 19th century. Probably Maine, this example with two arched slats joined by cylindrical turned pilasters continuing to legs and joined to the original woven and painted seat, the legs joined by a simple box stretcher. Original dark green paint mostly intact as are the dainty painted floral sprays on the slats. SIZE: 14-1/2″ h of back, 6″ h of seat. CONDITION: Chair is as stated with no evident restoration. 9-96461 (250-350)
