A quill pen is seen on the right side with paper having writing, dated 1839. Housed in its original gold frame which is dated “Feb 54”. An Edward Dechaux New York canvas stamp. Several 20th C labels indicating sitter “Milo Furbush, 1800-1862. SIZE: 36″ x 30”. PROVENANCE: From a Kennebunk, Maine Estate. CONDITION: 2″ tear in hairline, consolidated varnish, surface dirt.
